Claire Gladstone
£0.00
Claire Gladstone makes work considering the role photography plays within systems of memory and truth, and the stories we tell to make sense of our lives.
Her recent works reflect upon where we store our truths and how we process them. She wonders how to control the inevitable leakage from the mass of little constructions that we have both archived deep within ourselves and breaking through the surface of our curated selves.
Claire's practice is multidisciplinary, regularly incorporating hybrid printmaking, altered images, maps, boxes and books. Her prints are always unique or very limited edition variations, favouring drypoint, mono-print and photogravure.
Claire lives in West Devon, she holds a Masters in fine art with distinction, from Arts University Plymouth, where she is Studio Coordinator for fine print. Her most recent exhibitions include a solo show at The Phoenix Art Centre - Double Elephant Gallery and with the artist collective Room To Manoeuvre, whose Car Park project and installation has recently shown in multiple venues.
